Electrical Equipment for Hazardous Areas and Harsh Environments in New Hawke Catalogue

Hazardous area electrical safety pioneer, Hawke International, has released a new comprehensive catalogue. The company manufactures and supplies cable glands, connectors and enclosures to the global oil, gas and petrochemical processing industry. Covering the entire range of ATEX and Ex-certified products, the catalogue also has application information and technical data to assist engineers and designers in selecting the best product for each situation.

Phil O’Connor of Hawke explained, “Many customers know us for cable gland products and are sometimes unaware that we produce other equipment to ensure the electrical reliability and safety of critical processes in hazardous areas. The new catalogue will introduce them to other ways that we can solve problems of cable termination, power connection and protection of electrical equipment from explosive gas, dust or harsh conditions.”

The new catalogue extends to 166 pages and is available as hard copy or online from the Hawke web site as a PDF download. Dedicated sections explain which products are most suited to petrochemical, mining and industrial applications. Detailed guidance on technical standards is given together with information on product compliance to regional and national safety certification standards.

Hawke International’s key market focus is the petrochemical sector. Working through a world-wide network of distributors they can supply end users, prime contractors and the multitude of module and system builders engaged on projects around the world – on land or sea.
